2009 has been one of the most disappointing years for Akshay Kumar. It started off with 2 disasters – Chandni Chowk To China and Tasveer 8×10 – then came Kambakth Ishq which was thrashed by the critics and at the box-office, didn’t do even close to as well as it was expected to.
October 16th is Diwali time, but it will also be the biggest test for Akshay. The music of Blue has topped charts but will people throng to theaters to watch an under water adventure film? It inarguably is the riskiest movie of the year, and with millions at stake, another slip is something Akshay cannot afford.
The trade has reasons to worry – the movie belongs to a genre that doesn’t really have a huge audience in India – Blue is directed by a debutant Anthony D’Souza, does he have it in him to execute such a huge project – and finally there are concerns regarding the plotline and the content, which is one of the reasons why Akshay’s last few films have fared badly after great first week’s at the box-office.

We can’t say anything about the movie now but I’d love to see it as it’s something new in bollywood and I think that Kylie Meynoug ( sorry.. i don’t know the correct spelling for her name) as she’s globally famous so she’ll pull lots of audience overseas to watch this movie.. from the trailer, I could say that it’s a good movie.

Akshay is a good actor as well as a popular star.salman’s wnates is a remake of south indian super hit pokiri.
So he returned to his star status and it was just like tere naam which also was a remake of Super hit sethu(Vikram).But one think Salman is far behind those south Indian stars Mahesh Babu(Pokori-Telugu) and Vijay(Pokiri-Tamil) and also Vikram(Sethu-Tamil).This was the same in Kyon ki(Talavattom-Malayalam-Mohan Lal,Prabhu in Tamil) and Har dil jo pyar karega(Malayalam-Chandralekha-Mohan Lal).
In case of Akshay , Salman and no other stars in India nowhere near to him in action.Salman just did the copy od Pokiri action in wanted..and if you see pokiri..you will pity on salman…

I am agree with Priyanka. Salman has not any big banner like Yash raj or nadiadwalas. Here one thing i tell u wanted a ramake of a telugu hit pokiri everybody known its story. After that the film is doing well and tagged a super-hit. It Salman’s power only do that ok.

I don’t know why! But I am getting a gut feeling that Blue will not do well at the box-office. It will get a big opening, specially due to Diwali, but it will not be able to sustain the interest for long. The film will have to do exceptional business at the box-office to be considered a hit, because of its very high budget. However I am an Akshay fan & would be happy if I am wrong. ………………………. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
New directors like Sabbir Khan and Sajid Khan done blockbustor wonders with AKSHAY KINNG KUMAR…………………So what about a doubt….Just expect it to be a blockbustor as then any one will get the guts to make big films and variety films like this.

i saw many bull shit comments . Iam a fan of AKKI but i don’t hate Sallu . SALLU is good in action but his comedy is pathetic . watch out chal mere bhai , hello brother . he acted really bad in Hum dil de chuke sanam . had it Ajay devgan not been there in the movie , the movie wd have flopped.
Sallu always had big banners , Maine pyar kiya, hum aapke hai kaun from rajshrii camp which was as big as yashraj camp at that time . sallu himself worked with nadiadwala banner in jeet and judwa .

Regarding mujhse shaadi karogi , it was a boring stupid movie till the time AKKI entered the movie . i dont which cinema u went to . i saw it twice in delhi and once in mumbai and at both the places , it was AKKI’s entry which made ppl feel entertained in otherwise boring movie.
AKKI is good in Action . watch Khiladi series . AKKI is good in Emotion , watch sangharsh and jaanwar , waqt etc . AKKI is good in romance, watch namastey london , humko deewana kar gaye . clearly AKKI emrges Winner . i Agree that salman looks good and is cool but AKKI is also very handsome there is no dobt about this fact.
