Calendar Girls and Bhaag Johnny Box Office Collections

Calendar Girls has fared poorly on its opening day at the box office, collecting Rs 1.5-1.6 crore on Day 1. The film was poor all over India and the reports are extremely negative too.

Friday was a holiday for Bakrid and even with the holiday advantage, Calendar Girls failed to do well at the box office. The film was competing against Kapil Sharma’s ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ at multiplexes, that film was clearly first choice for the audience.

The third release this week, Bhaag Johnny starring Kunal Khemu in the lead, was a washout all over. The business of the film was around 30 lakhs, which has pretty much sealed its fate on Day 1 itself. It’ll struggle to recover even its marketing costs through theatrical business.
