Two prominent Twitter Fan Club of Akshay Kumar (TeamAkshay and Akkistaan) called for questions from fans with #BossKaBhai tag. 10 selected questions were picked and answered by none other than BOSS ka Bhai Shiv Pandit himself.

1. Why you chose to work on BOSS? What excited you the most? (by Ganesh)

Shiv – Hi Ganesh, I chose to work on the film BOSS because of my instinct. Two people are responsible for me being part of such a big film like BOSS – my Producer Mr. Ashwin Varde & Mr. Akshay Kumar. After meeting the two of them, my instinct told me that their faith in me is something which cannot be bought or created…and I would be a fool to say no to such a great opportunity. To be able to work alongside a huge Superstar of Mr. Akshay Kumar’s caliber, was exciting for me.

2. How’s the experience of working with Akshay Kumar? (by @action3091)

Shiv – Hi @action3091, He was very reserved towards me initially..and I used to keep asking Mr. Ashwin Varde (my Producer) – “Sir, Akshay Sir toh zyaada baat hi nahi karte”..to which he replied, “He’s like that only”. But slowly, over the last one year, I have gotten to know him fairly well and he has opened up to me. He’s very funny and very inspiring as a person. Everyday I remind myself how lucky I am to work alongside him.

3. Which is your favorite song from the film? (by Ravi)

Shiv – Hi Ravi, my favourite song in the film is my own song, which releases this Friday the 13th. It’s my first ever romantic song and is a new version of the song from Jaanbaaz ‘Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta…Yahaan Pyaar Zindagi Main’. FYI – This also happens to be Mr. Akshay Kumar’s favourite song!!

4. Akshay Kumar is know for his pranks on sets. What was the most funny thing Akki did on the sets of Boss? Any pranks he played on you? (by Sanket Bodkhe)

Shiv – Hi Sanket, yes, he is a complete prankster. There is a happy and positive energy whenever he’s on set. Since, I’m a newcomer, he used to always pull my leg.

5. Which part or scene of the movie is the best and most unforgettable moment for you? (by Akshay Renukdas)

Shiv – Hi Akshay, the most unforgettable moment for me in the movie would be the first time I faced the camera with Mr. Akshay Kumar. Although, I had been meeting him regularly for a few months before that, I had never been on set with him. So, this happened during the shooting of the song ‘Hum Na Tode’. Prabhudeva Sir was the choreographer and he told me that now you have to look at your older brother and feel happy. But, I completely froze because suddenly I realised ‘I AM STANDING IN FRONT OF AKSHAY KUMAR’!!!! :) :)

6. Please say few lines about your character in BOSS. (by Soumik Pramanik)

Shiv – Hi Soumik, the name of my character in BOSS is ‘Shiv’ :) He is a young guy of 21-22 years of age. His morals and principles are in place and he cannot see any injustice being done to anyone. He can be very volatile as a person, if the need arises. At the same time, he is a romantic and falls head over heals with Aditi Rao Hydari’s character. He loves and respects his elder brother (Akshay Kumar) and his father (Mithun Chakroborthy) dearly and would never go against them.

7. Did you really wish to have a brother like BOSS? (by Shravan)

Shiv – Hi Shravan, I’m the eldest in my own family and I’ve never known what it is to have an older brother. After working on BOSS with Akshay Kumar, I can tell you I’m extremely lucky to have BOSS / Akshay Kumar as an elder brother!! :) It’s great feeling to be looked after and BOSS does that ‘dil khol ke!!! ‘

8. Hello Shiv, Hope you are doing good. My question is, You started your career with Advertisements, after that you did almost every genres like short film, TV serial, Tamil and Hindi movies and now Romantic lead in a movie that stars Akshay Kumar. Which of them would you consider the easiest & which one the most hectic? (by Sameer K Singh)

Shiv – Hi Sameer, I’ve had a very diverse journey – that’s for sure. I always knew that I wanted to play lead roles in films so as long as it took, I made sure I reached that destination. In fact, I know I still have a long way to go! I don’t consider any of them easy or hectic experiences as they were all learnings in their own way. In fact, what you don’t know is that I started my journey doing theatre! After which I was a Radio Jockey with Radio Michi 98.3 Fm for 2 years. So, all these experiences educated and gave me skills and confidence which I find useful today :)

9. Like us, You also grew up watching films of Akshay Sir and in BOSS his look resembles to his Khiladi Films in 90s. Any Teenage Memory you want to share? (By Ram Jakhar)

Shiv – Hi Ram, I have been a huge fan of Akshay Sir! I remember, I was in school and ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ had released. So, in the song ‘Chura Ke Dil Mera’, Akshay Sir runs on the beach, jumps and lands on his knees while singing. My house captain in school caught me singing and dancing to that song during my study time and decided to punish me. So, he sent me in the middle of the night to my teacher’s house and told me to go jump in front of his door in the same way like Akshay Sir and shout ‘Chura ke Dil Mera….takla chala’. (my house-master was bald). So I had to do that. My teacher caught me and I was punished for 2 weeks straight by him after that!!

10. Do you have any action scenes in the film? And How was the experience of connecting with the Haryanvi culture? (by Sahil Munjal)

Shiv – Hi Sahil, yes, I have action scenes in the film. I love doing action! And one of them is with the king of action Akshay Kumar himself. It was real treat watching him perform so effortlessly. Haryanvi is a very colourful language and BOSS speaks Haryanvi very well. The dialogues have been written by Farhad-Sajid and they have given some really funny and power packed Haryanvi punches, which when you hear them, you will be rolling with laughter. I love Haryanvi and Punjabi as languages :)
