Australia has reigned supreme at the Cricket World Cup for the 5th time in 40 years. Playing against the unbeaten New Zealand team in the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, the Aussies led by Michael Clarke, went on to the trounce their opponents in just 33 overs.

This is the 5th time Australia has won the World Cup . I was expecting New Zealand to win the World Cup but Australia were a better team . The final was one sided . The Australian bowling broke the back of the New Zealand right from the first over . The next World Cup will be held in England in 2019 . Well played Aussies and what a unforgettable farewell to Michael Clarke . I just loved what Michael said that this World Cup is dedicated to my younger brother Philip Hughes . if you consider all the finals in which australia have played and won the world cup, there is an interesting observation, in all the finals except for 1987, it was a one sided contest, 1999 they beat pakistan comprehensively, 2003 they beat india easily, 2007 they beat srilanka easily and now in 2015 they beat new zealand also easily. This proves that they are big match players and reserve their best for the final, also @ romance dilwale_fan by the way australia won 2007 world cup, i did not understand your point, india did not even enter the knockout stage and was knocked out by bangladesh
@filmy gyan forget champion trophy 2013 india beat ausis bruterly in england, during 2011 india kicked ausis from semis, ausis lost 4-0 test seres in india n haven’t win any single game atleast india played in aus, 2019 worldcup is going to be held in england, India will repeat the history of 1983.

@Romance : Don’t post false n misleading comments. Again !!, It was quarter final in 2011 when Ind knocked out Aus in Ahmedabad. Ind defeated Pak in 2011 semis.
