Since Jodha Akbar released on February 15th, the compliments for Hrithik Roshan hasn’t stopped pouring in. Hrithik’s performance in Jodha Akbar has received immense praise.. The audience, critics and even the Bollywood film industry have unanimously hailed the performance. The list includes Aamir Khan, Yash Chopra, Karan Johar, Kamal Hassan, Manoj Bajpai, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Tabu… the list is endless..
But the best compliment came from the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. On seeing Hrithik’s trance dance during the qawaali Khwaja Mere Khwaja, the Big B observed that not since Stanley Kubrick’s legendary sci-fi 2001: A Space Odyssey has there been such an apocalyptic moment in a film!
Hrithik says “That compliment (from Amitabh) just blew my mind. Portraying Akbar wasn’t easy for me. That dance in a trance was especially difficult. When Ashutosh Gowariker (the director) explained the situation I just didn’t know how to go about it! In that moment of spiritual ecstasy what does my character experience? I was completely puzzled. Then I was told that it was a moment when Akbar connects with divinity. I joined the qawaali singers to dance with one hand pointing towards heaven which was receiving the divine gift, while my other hand pointed to the ground which meant I was connecting the gift received from divinity to people down below. I was the medium, the recipient of divine communication.”
Truly a legendary performance which deserves nothing less than a Oscar!

mind blowing performance by hrithik! the dance movement in qawaali song was absolutely brilliant, in particular the expression in hrithik’s eyes is mesmerising…bollywood should be proud to have hrithik…definitely deserves an award

Hritik roshan is best ever in the movie and an insipirational role for coming decades he played in the movie. really a must watch performance and the devotion,dedication and love with which he performed in the movie is can not be counted in words and can not be justified by awards.

Hrithik is a phenomenal actor and his role as Akbar further confirms this. He excels in Jodha Akbar and it is definitely without a doubt that no one else would have portrayed this role with such opulence and granduer. He is just brilliant whether he is Aryan or Akbar. Hats of to Mr Roshan … you rock !!!

I just loved the movie Jodha Akbar… Hirthink’s perofrmance was brilliant…. he portraits the character of Akbar really well… Absolutely superb… He was all a king should ever be…. And the way he looks at Aish in the movie…. Awesome…. so loving… You just totally fall in love with him…

Ever since knph he is my best. with every next he continously increases his space in my heart. N after jodha-akbar there is no one near 2 him in the best’s run in the whole world. the 5 things i can’t live without has Hritik at the third place in my life. love u hritik n u know v all really do.
