In last 4-5 of years, filmmakers have raced against time to release their big-budget Bollywood films during the lucrative Holiday season. Before Aamir made the Christmas weekend his own, the only other known holiday weekend was Diwali, which more often than not belonged to Shahrukh Khan.
Now, we have the Republic day weekend (Agneepath), Post-IPL release (Rowdy Rathore), EID (Ek Tha Tiger), Diwali (Son Of Sardar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan) and Christmas (Dabangg 2).

- EID: Ek Tha Tiger was the only major release during the EID weekend. The film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, released on 3300 screens in India.
- Diwali: Witnessed the clash between SRK and Katrina’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar. The two films combined released on 4500 screens in India.
- Christmas: Once again a solo release for Salman Khan and the widest release for a single film – Dabangg 2 also starring Sonakshi Sinha released on 3500 screens.

but below expectation as people expected 110 crore in 5 days.

If we observe this clash then we got a conclusion that both films not affected each other.
Means the collections of JTHJ are very similar like Srk’s last solo Diwali release Ra.One.
Whereas SOS is quite similar like Golmaal3 & it may be higher if it got some good quality screens.
Again SOS performed better than JTHJ in 2nd week.

Srk (also called as THE BIGGEST SUPERSTAR in the world by his fans and according to them he is more popular than tom cruise and all the other hollywood actors) is yet to cross 300 crores worldwide and 130 crores net in india and he is still the king.
