As you can see, both the films are pretty close, collection-wise. But the big difference is the Wednesday and Thursday collections of Bodyguard, those two holidays for EID and Ganesh Chaturthi were blessings in disguise for Salman Khan’s biggest blockbuster ever!
Bodyguard is all set to cross the 100 crore mark on Tuesday, exactly on the 7th day of its release. What that means is, even without the extended weekend, the film has done 100 crores of business in 1 week! Truly outstanding!

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan has good music and fresh casting as its USP, so it should open well. It will definitely affect Bodyguard, but to what extent is the big question. It will depend on how good Mere Brother is as a movie. If its good, Bodyguard weekend collections will be affected. If its bad, Bodyguard will benefit.
Don’t forget that this Friday will be the films 10th day after release, millions have already watched the film. We think, the second week will be around 30 – 35 crores – which is enough to beat the collections of Dabangg :) 3 Idiots is not possible now, Monday drop was huge from Sunday.
