Bodyguard has absolutely smashed every box office record on its way to a humungous 21 crores on Day 1 (Wednesday). The collections are absolutely out-of-the-world, atleast 20% more than the next best day in the history of the film industry.
To gauge just how big the first day numbers are, below is a comparison. Please note that the other films had a full release, while Bodyguard didn’t release at all single screens and some multiplexes screened the movie from 1PM on Wednesday. Also, Wednesday was a holiday release for Bodyguard, the other blockbusters released on Friday which is usually a working day.
Day 1 Collections in Mumbai
- Tees Maar Khan – 4.5 crores
- Dabangg – 5.15 crores
- Three Idiots – 5.3 crores
- Bodyguard – 7.2 crores (Record)
Day 1 Collections in UP / Delhi
- Three Idiots – 2.4 crores
- Tees Maar Khan – 2.7 crores
- Dabangg – 3.2 crores
- Bodyguard – 4.2 crores (Record)
Day 1 Collections in Assam / Orissa
- Three Idiots – 12 lakhs
- Tees Maar Khan – 14 lakhs
- Dabangg – 18 lakhs
- Bodyguard – 40 lakhs (Record)
Like Assam / Orissa, in Bihar and West Bengal the collections are almost double than the second best (Dabangg). Its the same at most centers, Bodyguard has not just broken records, it has absolutely smashed them by a huge margin!
Sky will be the limit for the next few Salman Khan films.

Fuad ..Public is swarming to see BG..but it has been recieved well by Salman fans only..rest have mixed to -ve views about it..still it would earn big in week 1..the competition will strt when MBKD and Mausam strike the screens..

As far as the reviews r concerned people (fans and non fans as only fans can not make it to earn 21.50 crores) go the theaters not for a proper movie experience but to Celebrate. Salman’s movies are kind of celebration for people rather than a proper movie experience.

@kool:: lemme tell u that bodyguard has won millions of heart across d world…it collected 39 cr+ in just two days..which is absolutely historic…despite the fact that it didn’t hav normal release….its an outstanding film.& u said the real verdict will come at Monday…film buri hoti to ye bilkul v chal nahi pati..Monday ko drop har film me aata hai…its normal….ab agar weekend monster rahega to obviously weekdays me thoda fall aana lazmi hai…its not a big deal..its a blockbuster written everywhere

befor sometimes a movie was coming…”rab na bandi jodi”- story:-a girl which man died befor marry then an another man come ,impressd her and marry her. very very simple story.but srk acting….i have no words to explain srk phenominal acting .so u understand srk acting as a husband make this film superhit.
when we like some person we see her acting,her behaviour,nature..and much more.and salman image a man with golden heart everytime help him……and friens he deserve this..
Yaaro..I saw Bodyguard..and I swear on GOD..that it was A CRAP film..I mean..how non sense was it..in the starting scenes..where he jumps from one train to other..I liked the old salman romantic type in some scenes..but seriously..those who said that they give BG 4.5 sts..or 4strs..are Biggest Liers..
I give it a grace marks of 2.5 strs..
