- Apart from 3 Idiots, Ghajini, Golmaal 3, Ready and Dabangg.. NO other film has ever crossed the 100 crore mark. Bodyguard did so in less than a week!
- Bodyguard is likely to cross the lifetime distributors share of Ready, the biggest hit so far this year, in less than a week (9 day week)!
- Bodyguard now holds the record for the biggest weekend and also the biggest Week 1 collections ever! Both records were previously held by Dabangg.
- The two biggest hits of the year, amongst films that don’t feature Salman Khan, are Singham and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Bodyguard crossed the lifetime business of both those films in 7 days! Bodyguard crossed the lifetime business of Shahrukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan in 5 days!
- Salman is not just ruling the Indian box office, he’s the King of the overseas box office too. The weekend figures of Bodyguard (5 days) is similar to the weekend box office collections of the biggest overseas hit ever – SRK’s My Name Is Khan (3 day).
- The biggest overseas hit so far this year was Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (7 million). Bodyguard overseas collections, in the first weekend alone is $5.2 million!
- Bodyguard crossed the lifetime business of the biggest ROI hit of the year – Murder 2 – in less than 3 days!
- Bodyguard now holds the Top 2 spots for the biggest one-day collections in history – Day 1 Wednesday was 21.5 crores and Day 2 Thursday was 19 crores. The third best is Dabangg’s first Sunday 18.5 crores.
- Bodyguard is likely to go past the business of Ready in just 11 days, if the collections hold up. It is also almost certain to go past Dabangg (140 crores) in less than 2 weeks, unless Mere Brother Ki Dulhan affects the film badly.
- Bodyguard is also likely to beat the 17 year old record of Hum Aapke Hai Kaun (1994) in the UK. The film grossed 1 million pounds way back in 1994, Bodyguard currently at 0.8 million should go on to be Salman’s biggest grosser in the UK.

@azis, these days there is no real criteria for a film to be called an All Time Blockbuster. Basically, it depends on the ROI (return on investment). If the returns are more than 3 times of the investment, its an All time Blockbuster.
@fearlesssoul, Dabangg released last year but yes, since it released last EID, its three 100 crore films in one year.. Infact 140 + 125 + 140 (minimum) = 405 crores! That’s outstanding. And we haven’t even included overseas business, satellite rights, music and video etc etc. On an average, every Salman Khan film earns about 200 crores!
Just salman and shahrukh are the biggest superstars. 1BODYGAURD lifetime will be180 to 210crore box office. RA.ONE lifetime will be 185 to 215crore box office

Don’t compare body guard with mnik at overseas. Srk is the undisputed king at overseas so don’t make false statements by saying that salman is king overseas. Don’t make fun of urself. i know salman is no 1 right now in india bt not in overseas. He doesn’t even come close to srk at overseas.
@indicine: I believe All 3 Khans are equal and they will rule this decade too. I May be early to predict but they will make such huge records in coming years that Ranbir/imran/shahid/ranveer will have to wait atleast 8-10 years to overcome or on par with the records set by them (ATBB, BB, Hits, Superhits, Record openings, record weeks, Overseas records etc…) and i want this to happen because they have ruled our hearts and this generation will not easily let go these 3 Khans out of business.
