Update: With figures from night shows coming in, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown record breaking growth on 2nd Saturday. The film is now looking at a total of 18 crore plus. This is humongous because Bajrangi Bhaijaan is set to record higher collections than both Dhoom 3 and PK on their respective second Saturday’s. At a Mangalore multiplex, the film collected Rs 1,48,030 on Friday, compared to Rs 2,73,140 i.e nearly 84% growth. A exhibitor from Valsad, Gujarat, says the film has grown by nearly 3 times on Saturday.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown excellent growth in business on Saturday. While the morning shows were at around the same level as yesterday (2nd Friday), the film has showed excellent growth evening onwards.
The film is looking at a total of around Rs 18-19 crore, depending on how well the night shows perform at multiplexes on Saturday.
The Kabir Khan directed film has gone past the lifetime collections of Salman’s 3rd highest grosser ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, it has also beaten the lifetime business of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Happy New Year’.
The film is Salman’s second consecutive 200 crore grosser, something that Shahrukh Khan achieved first with ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’, and Aamir Khan’s followed it up with ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has one other major record to its credit. The film is now the highest grossing Salman Khan film worldwide, as the gross figures of KICK has been surpassed.

Two Back to Back 200 CR movies for Salman this is something Salman fans will be really happy to see . In 2012 ETT could not collect 200 CR by a whisker . If everything goes well then PRDP will be the 3rd 200 CR movie of Salman . It is great to see Salman breaking his own record and now it will collect more than 450 CR Worldwide . Collection does not matter for good films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Chak de India or 3 Idiots. These movies remain forever in people’s heart. May be, Happy New year collected more money than Chak de or Dhoom 3 collected more money than 3 Idiots or Tare Zameen Par, but people will always remember movies like Chak de or 3 Idiots.
