SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali is on a record-breaking spree at the worldwide box office, as the film has grossed nearly Rs 120 crore in 2 days.
In the United States of America, ‘Baahubali’ has broken the records of some of the biggest grossers in Hindi cinema – the likes of Aamir Khan’s PK, Dhoom 3 and Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year.
Check out the weekend collections of the films in North America from Thursday (preview) to Sunday. Note that Baahubali collections is for 2 days only, including Thursday preview.
- Baahubali – $4 million (approx, including limited release of Tamil version)
- PK – $3.57 million (257 screens)
- Dhoom 3 – $3.4 million (240 screens)
- Chennai Express – $2.2 million (196 screens)
The Hindi dubbed version has also shown excellent growth in business from Friday to Saturday. The 2-day collections of the Hindi version are as follows:
- Friday – 5.15 crore
- Saturday – 7.09 crore
- Total Collections in Hindi – 12.24 crore
Shankar and SS Rajamouli are by far the biggest directors in Indian Cinema, along with Rajkumar Hirani in Bollywood. No film in the history of Telugu Cinema has crossed the 200 crore worldwide gross and only two South Indian films, ‘Enthiran’ and ‘I’ both directed by Shankar, have managed to gross more than 200 crore at the global box office. Currently, the highest Telugu worldwide grosser is SS Rajamouli’s Magadheera, which grossed around Rs 155 crore worldwide.
Baahubali is likely to be the highest worldwide Telugu grosser ever by the end of its first weekend (the advance booking is extraordinary and ticket prices are at an all time high too) and eventually go on to gross more than 200 crore.
The word-of-mouth is excellent too, so ’Baahubali – The Beginning’ is likely to enjoy a long and successful run at the box office.

Fake collections.fudging knews no bounds.with around 4000 screens this film is collecting everyday 50cr that too gross collections.now Rakeah Roshan too feel shame of the kalkulator that baahubali’s producer is using.just imagine a telugu film which contains so called ‘content’ which is doing this,ROFL.
Well puny south industries crossing the boundary of manipulation.no body gonna believe this after the end of run it seems it too will feel the wrath of audience what k3 faced due to it’s content,about glory this classless movie will be diminish from history just like how robot diminished only accepted a glory among dumb south film watchers,ROFL.

And SS Rajamouli’s feel proud for that.He revealed it in his recent interview & also on his official facebook handle,said it is a very beautifull story.
Bollywood makes crap, cheap films like dhoom3, pk, bombe velvet, dabang, ett, but south india makes films like bahubali, magadhera.

Bahubali will break crappies hny life time collection in just a week. And Bajrangi Bhaijaan too.

PK earned 26.63 crs(Nett) on Day 1 and 30.31 crs(Nett) on Day 2. Overseas Day 1 was $1.3M= 8.5 crs. and Day 2 was $1.8M = 11.7 crs.
So, total gross was close to 107.5 crores worldwide in 2 days.
HNY 2 days gross was 125 crores.
Baahubali is 120 crores. This is huge! Awesome collections. Still, I don’t think it will sustain like PK did in overseas.
PK final OS collection is 294 crores(yet to release in some countries).
Baahubali will cross 100 crores in Overseas, might beat HNY Overseas with excellent WOM.
So, a lifetime total might cross HNY, Kick and CE, Worldwide, which is brilliant for a telugu movie.

Yes i agree it is best for any dubbed film but not that good to cut screens of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan will release with atleast 4500 screens.You can get it in coming 2 days.
For criticizing BB(Even before release) you should know that BB is written by Baahubali director’s father.

We bhai fans can’t break the record even if we folk at the cinemas. We are a group of auto-rickshaw walas who will strike on 16th and d mid may school boys will bunk their classes. We will happy 2 c bhai’s emotional journey through d muv but he will ruin it with his Oscar deserving act and tears.

The collections of Baahubali can be described only in one word – Insane . I have never seen such huge collections for a South Indian movie . Robot also did great business but i was not having knowledge of Box Office very much in 2010 . I will go to watch Baahubali today . I have seen Makkhi and i did not like it very much . I have not seen Magadheera . But i am damn sure this movie will be something to watch out for . This is the most expensive movie made in Indian Cinema and i don’t think this record will be broken for many years . It is great to see such a phenomenal response from Overseas . South movies generally don’t collect much outside India but this is a great change . Now Telugu movies will be taken seriously . @ Indicine Vishwaroop Worldwide Collections was also more than 200 CR .

To those who r saying that bwood nothing in front of south indian industry..well let me rimen u that S.S. Rajamouli hd 1st approached & narrated Baahubali script to Hrithik & john. He wanted to make it hindi movie & dub in other regional lingos.. He himself revealed this fact.
