Ajay Devgn’s Baadshaho has moved away from the Republic Day weekend, making way for two other films that are announced for the same day – Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.
Baadshaho, starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jamwal, Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta, will now release in theatres on May 12 2017. The Milan Luthria directed film will go on floors in August this year.
“Yes it’s true that Rakesh Roshanji & Ritesh Sidhwani called me to request if we could shift the date of release of Baadshaho. Given our long standing relationship, I accepted their request” Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, was quoted as saying.
Baadshaho was the first film announced for the 26th January holiday next year, followed by Filmkraft Productions, who announced their film on February 11th this year.
In May, the makers of Raees decided to avert the much-hyped clash with Salman Khan’s Sultan and surprisingly pushed the Shah Rukh Khan starrer to January 26 2017.

Thats good decision and shows their good relationship and understanding among them..!! Raees also will move on from that giving the relationship with Roshans..!!
Best release date for Raees is Bakrid EID which will definitely beneficial for the movie..!!

No we won’t..bcz SRK and HR fans are mature enough to understand the situation under which these stars postpone their release..No disrespect to anyone..If Ajay has taken this decision then its good for him as he might get solo release now..

They could have released Raees on Bakri Eid but they moved it to Republic day which made me beleive that they are in some understanding with Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik .
Badshaho is postponed. That’s mean now audience have to tolerate two mahacraps on republic day next year.
This is good news and I was expecting this as Baadshaho may have also not been completed by as early as Jan. Even two movies on Republic day is a bit too much so three movies never made sense. Great on part of Baadshaho makers to accept the request of Kaabil and Raees makers. Appreciated. Baadshaho will surely rock when it releases in May 2017.
Coming to Raees vs Kaabil it is still a clash of two very big movies. Don’t know if both will still choose to clash as I do not think that the release date is that big a date to accomodate such two huge movies. Let us see if they both opt to clash or one of them moves to make way for a solo release.
Raees is a special movie for me so waiting for it the most obviously but best wishes to all three : Raees, Kaabil and Baadshaho.
Both Akshay and Hrithik are great guys/superstars and are clashing in August. Then SRK and Hrithik in January. Not liking this but what to do as their are few good release dates available and a number of big movies to be released. One will have to get used to these clashes now. Just hoping the fans on both sides exercise control.
