Ayushmann’s Hawaizaada declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh

Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film ‘Hawaizaada’ has been exempted of entertainment taxes in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The makers of film have thanked the UP government, headed by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The decision to make the film tax free was taken at the cabinet meeting, a spokesperson of the government said in a statement released to the media.

“I am thankful to the authorities for this grant. It took me almost five years to put my vision on the big screen. Now, I am sure the film will get its full potential reach in the state of Uttar Pradesh.” said director Vibhu Puri.

‘Hawaizaada’ is set in 1895 and inspired from the life and works of Shivkar Talpade, who supposedly flew the first ever unmanned plane eight years before the Wright Brothers. The film releases in theatres on January 30.
