So overall, Jodha Akbar has swept the major awards winning 3 out of the 4 awards it was nominated in. Jodha Akbar was voted as the Best Picture, Ashutosh Gowariker as the Best Director, Priyanka Chopra as the Best Actress and finally Hrithik Roshan as the Best Actor.
The big awards was mainly and fiercly contested between the three most popular movies of the year; Jodha Akbar, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajini. Not a single award for A Wednesday is disappointing and so is the poor number of votes for Rajeev Khandelwal for Best Newcomer Male.
What do you think of the other award winners above? Could the Filmfare Awards be similar, as its 50% jury and 50% public votes?

Why this song “Guzarish” has been considered as one of the best of 2008?!!! I just don’t get it! how people loved this song.. I didn’t like it at all, there’re almost 20 songs of 2008 which are really better than Guzarish e.g. Jashene Bahar, Haule Haule, Tujme Rab Dekta Hai, Marjawa & Koch Khaas Hai from Fashion, Jaane Ku, Desi Girl, Ma ladala from Dostana, Dance pe Chance, Teri Ore & Jee Karda from SIK, Tu Muskora, Zara se Dil from Janat, songs of Rock On, Meelo Ka jaisi from LS2050, Kabhi Kabhi & Papu Can’t dance Sala from JTYJN, Mausam from Kidnap.
Even “Jalwa” from Fashion is better than Guzarish!

Other all awards are Ok, But best Story as RNBDJ…..its really a Crap. as per Me the best story should be A wednesday or Jodha Akbar.

The awards winners are prety good, except Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, this movie was a crap!! Except SRK’s performance, and the songs, all the movie was a full of shiit, and the story not that good!!

rab ne was a crap film. it had no story. and i can’t believe it got the award for best story !! these awards are a farce and have no integrity.
the film became a huge hit only because of shah rukh khans star power. (even though i felt his acting in the film was awful).

JA deserves to win. IMO the best film of the year with A wednesday earning the second spot.
I dont agree with RNBDJ for best story… It was a crap story, utter nonsense. And as you rightly mentioned Rajeev’s performance in Aamir is award worthy. Even a half good SRK in Aamir would have won the Best actor. Its sad.
