Audience is my godfather, they keep me going: John Abraham

John AbrahamActor-producer John Abraham says he was set to pack his bags after “Jism” in 2003, but it is only because of the audience that he is still in the film industry.

“The audience has always been my godfather, my strongest force and they keep me going. When I came into the industry at the time of ‘Jism’, I thought I am going to be here only for three months and I will have to go back,” the 40-year-old said here Friday at the shooting location of his new film “I, Me aur Main”.

John further says his producers believe his best is yet to come.

“It has been more that 10 years now. My producers tell me, ‘You have at least 10 more years, and probably the better 10 years’,” he said.

Talking about “I, Me aur Main”, John said: “It is a slice-of-life film. Like there was ‘Wake Up Sid’, (it is in a) completely different space, but a very real film.”

“According to me, most of the women in the world will relate to this film. Your mother or sister or anyone will say, ‘I have met a man like him in real life’,” John said.

Apart from “I, Me aur Main”, John will also soon be seen in “Shootout at Wadala”. He is also busy with his productions “Hamara Bajaj” and “Madras Cafe.”

  • Love you John. You’re one of the best actors around like Hrithik. The only difference is that Hrithik had Rakesh Roshan, his father, to make him famous while John had just nobody. I wish his film: ‘Shoot Out At Wadala’ becomes an all time blockbuster and crosses 200 crore mark and 3 idiots collections, even if with a tiny margin.
