Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in 102 Not Out

Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter to reveal the look of ‘102 Not Out’ with his ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ co-star Amitabh Bachchan.

“Wonderful to work again with the Legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Thank you Amitji, it never felt the 26 years old hiatus. We connected instantly!”

“Always a pleasure and an honour to work with him. Started reading the script with the team. For further details ,stay tuned!!!” Rishi Kapoor said, in a series of tweets.

The two are rumoured to play the lead in a film titled ‘102 Not Out’. Bachchan plays the role of a 102-year-old, while Kapoor plays his son who is 75.

The movie is based on Saumya Joshi’s Gujarati play with the same title. Umesh Shukla of ‘OMG! Oh My God’ fame is directing it.

“Amitji and Rishiji are collaborating after 26 years. They are playing Gujarati characters for the first time. Being a Gujarati myself, I had certain references in my mind which we used to create their look.” he said.

  • I am Gujarati and have seen the Gujarati play. It’s considered a masterpiece and is extremely emotional and witty. Hope they do a good job in making a movie out of it :)

  • They both are looking amazing . They have been brilliant in films such as Amar Akbar Anthony, Kabhie Kabhie, Coolie and Ajooba . Umesh Shukla showed his class in OMG but it was disappointing to see All Is Well . The concept of 102 year old man with his 75 year old son looks interesting . Looks like a light hearted film . It is great to see Amit Ji doing light hearted roles after doing Pink and Sarkar 3 . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Instead of Amit ji they should have casted our Dadaji… yes they would have needed to spend more money on make up artists trying to make Dadaji look young enough to play the role of Rishi jis papa but he would have been perfect…!

  • But it will look very odd to see them pair up as father son duo as viewers are used to see them and know them for their brothers duo or friends duo in films like AAA, ajooba and coolie. So very bad idea.
