Alia Bhatt learns Bharatanatyam for 2 States

Alia BhattAlia Bhatt, who plays a Tamilian girl in 2 States, is trying hard to get into the skin of her character. The 19 year old star is not just trying to pick the  south Indian accent but is also learning Bharatanatyam to play the character to perfection.

Based on Chetan Bhagat’s 2 States: The Story Of My Marriage, Alia plays an Iyengar girl who falls in love with a Punjabi boy, and the ensuing cultural clashes between them and their families.

After making her debut in Student Of The Year where she was cast opposite two newcomers Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, Alia will be seen sharing screen space with Arjun Kapoor – who also made his debut in 2012 with Ishaqzaade.

Directed by Abhishek Verman, 2 States is co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala.
