I watched the movie – I liked the movie, up until the point where the terrorist named “Ehsaan” in Kurbaan says “Ya Ali Madad” before he shoots Haqil, means that person follows Imam Ali and generally, the person is of Shia sect and faith.
It seems Bollywood has no idea about who is Shia and who is terrorist, those who did 9/11 were not Shia and those who do terrorism are not shias. Muslims are not Terrorists and secondly if they are Muslims then they are for sure not Shia, but they are people who just follow Quran and no other Islamic religious Scholar, Prophet or Imam.
There is a song “Ali Maula” which is again portraying that terrorist shown in movie are Shias. Shias are not terrorist. The whole world knows this; Taliban, SIMI or Wahabism, spoiling the name of Islam and Muslims.
Director, Producer and script writer has hurt the sentiments of Shias and they must apologise to Shias on the media and in written form.

This is a awsome Sufi song with wonderful Lyrics! The movie or song has nothing to do with Suni or Shia. Lots of Suni and Shia Iman and Mula have said that music is haraam, forbidden and Sufi belive that through music, song and dance (darvish) one can experience and be with God/Allah/divine. Ali was one of very few who understood the essence, spiritual Islam, that is what Sufis belive and they follow him. In many sufi songs Ali´s name comes up for this reason. His sword represents The sword of light that cuts through darkness and divine light and love can take over in our heart so we human can feel oneness. Sufism is the spiritual essence of Islam and it is universal. Sufism is all religions essence where true divine love is expressed in all forms and shapes. Because a sufi sees Divine i everything and in everyone. So please stop fighting about Ali, suni and shia.
If this song touch your heart and your spirit connects with divine through this song…that is the sufi way.
