The actor has not only publicly apologised to the fan, but also reprimanded his bodyguard.

“What happened that day was unfortunate and uncalled for. I was at the airport and I heard a commotion which made me turn around, I didn’t notice anything wrong so I walked on. It was later brought to my notice that my bodyguard had punched a fan. I have reprimanded him and given him a strict warning for the same.”

“My sincere apology to the fan who was hurt. I hold my fans in the highest regard and such incidents are always upsetting. I will ensure such a scenario is avoided in the future” the actor said in a statement.

  • Good that he clarified.

Had always believed that it wasnt his fault and that he wouldnt have liked that act of his bodyguard either.

The only advantage of all this episode was that apparently we came to know about who Mr Yogi actually was.

  • A local court yesterday issued a notice to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s production house in response to a suit filed by the son of the gangster Abdul Latif, claiming damages for defaming his late father.City civil court judge R T Vatsani issued notices to Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited, Khan’s production house, and co-producers Excel Entertainment and Rahul Dholakia Productions. Replies are to be filed by 11 May.The film is reportedly based on Latif’s life. His son Mustaq Ahmad also sought injunction against the release of the film as well as its promotional material. The second part of the film shows Latif in a very defamatory manner and damages the family’s reputation, the suit says, while demanding Rs 101 crore in damages.

  • Akshay has some really crazy fans so it was a good move by him to apologise the fan nd other fans also who got a bit hurt . ?

  • Hahaha.. If only Duniya Ka Sabse Bada superstar was as nice a human being as Akshay Kumar, we wouldn’t have had to sit through fan :D

  • Knew it sir ji… we love you a lot…. respect and worship….. thank you to for being loyal with us….

  • Its good to see Akshay clarifying and apologizing through social media . I saw the video and the bodyguard behaved in a rude manner . Akshay was busy so he could not say sorry to his Fan on the airport . By the time Akshay turned back the incident had already happened . Celebrities should strictly tell their bodyguards that they should not misbehave with their fans . Yes sometimes fans come really close and try to hold the actors hair or clothes which is extremely wrong . I hope Akshay scolded his bodyguard and I don’t think he will repeat his mistake in the future . Bodyguards should scold or push fans if necessary but they should not hit fans as it creates a wrong impression in the minds of fans .

  • That’s a pretty honest confession sir.
Every superstar knows d value of a #FAN
so I don’t think they can harm any of us.
Its just misunderstood by some ppl.

  • We cant say that Akshay doesnt cares about his fans . He is the only actor who doesnt cares about box office . Releasing 4 movies of different genres in non holiday is enough to prove it .

  • Look at this uncle Navin.
Your Golden hearted and greatest human ever to be born Sallu never apologized after he broke a fan’s phone or when his bodyguard beat the shit out of a fan.
    But still being “human” roxx.

  • I had mentioned it in my comment which I had posted on the article which reported this incident that Akki would have definitely dealt with the situation in private. I’m glad that he really has and that he still cares about his fans.Proud to be an Akkian!
