Ajay Devgan Movies: First Week Box Office Collections

Back in the 90s and early 2000s, Ajay Devgan was always a consistent performer and occasionally delivered a few hits. But the National award winning actor was never a major crowd-puller. The turning point in his career came in 2010, when Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Golmaal 3 and Rajneeti did record business at the box office.

Since then, Ajay has featured in several hugely successful films like Singham, Bol Bachchan and Son Of Sardar (which clashed with a major film like Jab Tak Hai Jaan).

His latest release, Himmatwala, has turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of the year so far. The first week collections of the Sajid Khan directed film was lower than some of Ajay’s last few ‘mass-entertainers’ like Singham and Bol Bachchan.

  • Son Of Sardar – 69.8 crore (Diwali)
  • Golmaal 3 – 62.5 crore (Diwali)
  • Bol Bachchan – 60.75 crore
  • Rajneeti – 54 crore
  • Singham – 49 crore
  • Himmatwala – 38.7 crore
  • Once Upon A Time In Mumbai – 34.3 crore
  • Rascals – 28.95 crore
  • Tezz – 14.41 crore
