Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will become only the second actor from India, after Amitabh Bachchan, to receive the highest distinction (civilian or military) from France for his contribution to cinema.
France has decided to confer the ‘Officier de la Legion d’Honneur’ – the highest distinction that can be conferred in France on a French citizen or a foreigner.
Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar and Satyajit Ray have also been honoured with France’s highest civilian award.
“After his meetings in Delhi on June 30 and July 1, the minister will travel to Mumbai for business meetings and give the highest French honour, the Legion of Honour, to actor Shahrukh Khan” a leading daily quoted a source as saying.
The foreign minister of France, Laurent Fabius, will travel to Mumbai to confer the award to SRK.
Khan was previously honoured with the ‘Ordre des Arts et des Lettres’ (Order of the Arts and Literature) by the French government for his exceptional career in the Hindi film industry.
The Legion of Honour, or in full the National Order of the Legion of Honour (French: Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur) is a French order established by Napoleon Bonaparte on 19 May 1802.

I am an SRK fan and I have read all the nasty things fans of other actors say about him and felt a pinch of sadness. If the hatred is because SRK acts in some indefensibly bad movie or because he becomes a part of controversies like Wankhede, Shirish slapping etc or just because he doesn’t have conventional starry looks, Its understandable. But when a honour like this happens to an Indian star and if they are still bickering nasty things, like he must have fixed it, French are stupid etc … It is pure jealousy.

The world knows who is the best. SRK is already among all time greatest icons produced by India. Such a huge honour at such a young age! SRK is unrivalled. He has gone beyond petty number games. He has ruled since 1992. Not remained absent for years or given few hits. SRK has consolidated his rule whereas others are just saving face for no show before 2008.

Though our king has 3.7 billion hearts,but not even 1 billion hearts don’t watch his films on the opening day & get him an opening day record even if it’s a holiday release.Our king doesn’t have atleast 1 billion hearts in online polls to vote for him.Even his rivals have few thousand’s of hearts in comparison to the 3.7 billion hearts but he lags far behind in social media too.Our king starts promotions of his films 11 months before release still his films suck whereas 1 month is more than enough for his rivals.Our king is the 2nd richest actor in the world,forget about charity & social service he don’t pay to his house maid until she reaches court.Our king can buy any awards but doesn’t have a single film to be rated under top 500 by IMDB whereas his rivals do have it.Our king does lip lock scenes & dances in marriage parties for money but his rivals don’t give a damn for such things.Finally our king of 3.7 billion hearts doesn’t have a single highest grosser of the decade in his total career despite working with big technicians & banners but his rivals have 2 highest grossers of the decade per each.Hopefully our king of 3.7 billion hearts do the same kind of sex & adult comedy films forever & please his 3.7 billion hearts.

@sameer despite top opening by our Amir movie nobody want to gives credit him rather than franchise, raju hirani. Despite 25 years active in Bollywood our beloved Amir manage to give only 11 hits and first 18 years only 4 hits, we thanks to srk who involved in ipl post 2008 and other stuff and giving less attention to movie our Amir managed to give 7 more hits in last 8 years again thank to multiplex boom. Our Amir movie has featured among 500imdb but that srk snatched all accolades walk away with awards for best actor and star. Our Bhai does charity but fake srk was only Indian to won Unesco. We Amir salman fans thanks srk for making some big production houses so our idol got chances to give big grossers. We Amir salman are united to defeat srk in terms of hits and quality performance but that fake king have more hits (25) and minimum 10 quality performance off all time. Our idol Amir salman calling each other number one during release of their movie to please their fans so their movie get advantage at Bo. We Amir salman fans spread negativity about srk during Akki hritik ajay release so that our idol get sympathy from ther fans and started abusing srk for no reason but we don’t watch their movie which resulted in 60 cr. we r true jealous of srk so we will never miss opportunity to showing our hatred in each and every article.

Just few days ago i watched pardes, wow man!, what a beutifull acting. its the most underrated performance of his carear, srk as arjun is just awesome, flawless in his character, believe me he is just awesome, i was stuned by his performance. i don’t know why its not, that much noticed, because i just read imdb users comments, even those who show hatred towards film, says, that srk is just awesome. i also read one of critics review 4 the film and that’s he/she have said about his performane ” and hero Shahrukh comes up with a restrained performance, that seems to play second fiddle to his energetic self and other players in the movie. But the restraint serves him great as this should rank on par with DDLJ and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.”
believe me its also one of the most acclaimed performances of his. the question is, that if it was the one of the most acclaimed performances.
this film have some heartouching scenes, which will touch your heart like – When Mahima gives a flower to Rajeev and a petal to Shah Rukh, the latter places it tenderly in his book and shoots a look of jealousy toward Rajeev.
