The makers of ‘Aankhen 2’ have announced the star cast of the sequel to the 2002 film ‘Aankhen’ which featured Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Sushmita Sen and Paresh Rawal.
Amitabh and Arjun Rampal remain a part of the sequel – Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen are out – they are replaced by Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Ileana D’Cruz.

The rumoured star cast was confirmed at a grand event that was held to announce ‘Aankhen 2’.
While the first film was directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the sequel will be directed by Anees Bazmee. The film will release in theatres next year.

Interesting…only concern is Anees as director(though he has directed entertaining hit films)…but good solid cinema….HV to wait and see….vipul cld HV directed himself though…I LVD D FIRST PART

Hope Aankhen 2 atleast hit.. coz first part classic. But why marker remove akki? @indicine team, Any idea about that remove Akki?
I would really like to see Akshay there, I loved the first part, and hoped that the AK will be in a sequel. This is a big mistake (But at the same time want to see Akki part of larger franchises like Dhoom and Race
Why even sell it as a sequel?
Remove “2”, it’s more of a reboot/remake.

its one of the best movie made in bollywood and its one of my most fav movie. wish akshay would have been part of this but loved the cast amitabh..arjun..anil..ileana and arshad. hope it will be as good as part 1.
Aankhen is not a brand. It can turn out to be a huge if Big b and Akshay joins together.
It sounds solid when two superstars in one and with a sequel, hardly remember any recent past witness two huge stars for one film.
Also with this starcast it becomes a word of mouth film which may not open well. And the director is not promising for a thriller like this which was my teen age fav movie “Aankhen”.
These dummies did not see the success of last 4 akki films and announced star cast more blindly than the blind characters in the film!!! Someone should slap them because paresh character died into the film so his absence is understandable but akshay…?? Cmon!!!

Without akshay the movie gets lower in term of budget and cost and I think that’s good for the movie to be a success
If aankhen 2 gets a good release date it can still emerge clean hit… highly excited now one of my awaited films for next yr after bahubaali 2, jolly llb 2, robot 2, kaabil, tubelight, crack, raees and now aankhen 2
Don’t understand how Anees Bazmee got this film. He has only done comedy films so far.

Aankhen was a brilliant movie and one of the Best Hindi movies based on robbery . The entire concept of 3 blind people doing a bank robbery was completely unique and different and that too way back in 2002 . Amit Ji, Akshay, Paresh and Sushmita all were superb in their characters . Amit Ji was terrific in the negative role and Paresh was superb as Illyas providing comic relief . Akshay should have been part of the Sequel but maybe the script requires somebody else . Paresh died in Aankhen so there was no way he could have been part of Aankhen 2 . I hope Arshad, Anil and Illeana play their parts in the perfect manner . This is a real challenge for Anees Bazmee as he has made No Problem, Ready and Welcome Back in this decade . He has predominantly made comedies such as No Entry, Welcome and SIK . I hope Aankhen 2 is as exciting and thrilling as the first one .
