Aamir Khan wants to watch ‘Jalpari’

Bollywood star Aamir Khan is known to go out of his way for social causes. Currently shooting for Dhoom 3 in Chicago, Aamir took time out from his busy schedule, to write to Nila Madhab Panda, the director of “Jalpari: The Desert Mermaid”.

The actor expressed his desire to watch the movie on female foeticide, a first subject of his popular TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

Since ‘Jalpari’ deals with the same subject in a different, entertaining format of an adventure thriller, Aamir did his bit in boosting the morale of Panda on the eve of the film’s release Friday.

“I sent Aamir Khan a mail and got a very prompt response. I have always admired his work and think he is one of the most sensitive actors in the industry and has created a revolution by doing a show like ‘Satyamev Jayate’,” said Nila Madhab Panda.

“I’m trying to ensure that he sees the film soon and then hopefully he will be able to help us spread the message about the evil of female foeticide even more, that which we are trying to bring to light through our film ‘Jalpari'” he added.

“Jalpari” features an eclectic cast of talented actors like Parvin Dabas, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Suhasini Mulay.
