A 70 year old woman was knocked over and killed by producer-director Arbaaz Khan’s car which was temporarily being used by his brother Sohail Khan. The car was being driven by his driver Dhananjay Pimpale, who was not under the influence of alcohol, but has been arrested on charges of rash and negligent driving. No member of the Khan family was present inside the vehicle during the time of the accident.
“It was most unfortunate, the woman suddenly came in front of the vehicle and fell. The driver immediately applied the brakes and reported the matter to the police.” said Arbaaz’s father Salim Khan.
The incident occurred at around 11 PM on Sunday near St. Andrew’s Church when the vehicle was heading towards the Khan’s residence near Bandstand.
The driver of the car Dhananjay Pimpale, has been arrested on charges of rash and negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. He will be presented before a local court later today.
Dhananjay was subjected to a medical test soon after the accident, but medical reports suggest that he was not intoxicated.
The woman has been identified as Chandra Bala. She was rushed to the Bhabha hospital by a police constable and some auto-rickshaw drivers but succumbed to her injuries soon after.
Salim Khan reprimanded the media, saying that instead of finding out the whereabouts of the woman and her family or survivors, the focus was more on the Khan family – on whether they were inside the vehicle and who owned the vehicle.
Arbaaz Khan is currently producing and directing his brother Salman Khan in the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Dabangg.

Haha.. That’s exactly what I thought when I read this. Now everyone will start jumping in and blame Salman Khan for this and take his past..
But what’s strange is the incidents in the recent past.. First the short circuit on the Dabangg sets that injured 3 people and now this.. at both times the Khan’s were not on the sets. Bad omen?
The car was driving by sohail’s driver not by sohail. the driver is responsible 4 all this salim khan said d right thing. media was only focusing whether anybody 4rm d khan family was there in d car rather than knowing abt d lady.
Long ago when salman was involved this type of accident , at that time also it was his driver’s fault not his.his driver was driving the car.but because it was Salman’s car,he was d owner of d car; everybody blamed him unnecessarily. For some stupid driver’s carelessness these khan brother’s r suffering.
