Q. Which Bollywood movie is all time favourite in India and worldwide? Sholay, DDLJ or 3 idiots?
A. Difficult to answer such questions. Sholay is the most watched movie of all time, footfalls (no of tickets sold) were way higher than DDLJ and 3 Idiots. DDLJ and Sholay released during an era when piracy and internet didn’t exist. The only way to watch a film was in theatres. During DDLJ there were VHS tapes, but piracy wasn’t close to as fast as it is today. While it’s unfair to compare films released during different eras, the current generation would probably pick 3 Idiots over DDLJ and Sholay.
Q. The response to the trailer of ALONE is very positive as compared to other horror movies. Will this help in terms of its collections?
A. Trailer, star cast and songs are three of the most important factors for Indian audiences. When a trailer gets a good response, the opening will definitely get a boost. Bipasha Basu’s Alone is expected to take a good opening at mass centres.

3 idiots is all time classic. Sholay and DDLJ can’t come anywhere close to 3 idiots. 3 idiots is the best movie of all time. PK will surely break the record of 3 idiots in terms of All Time Classic Movie Ever.

Sholay, DDLJ and 3 Idiots are not comparable. Three of em are of different genres. They are the best movies of the specific genres. A Masala Entertainer Sholay, A love saga DDLJ, A humor commercialised 3 Idiots. <3 Love em instead of comparing em. No movie in bollywood can surpass charm of these epic movies.

@hrithik,here also salman fan started to hate DDLJ by taking names mpk/hahk unnecessarily which is total out of topic.I understand the value of hahk and I also remained in joint family.Here all about the performance instead of being a road side home outgrown romeo shows HIS Indian sanskars and fight with every odd to get His love.that’s the difference bro,at that time a boy-girl relation considered to be very weaker compared to family member relatio,also at that love story movies only made because at that time boys and girls especially in India couldn’t dare to love each other that now a days are happening commonly.so my point is you can’t compare EPIC PERFORMANCE of CHARMING RAJ with a dull family man prem until and unless being a salman fan.otherwise ask that man/indicine who didn’t added hahk in this list.because hahk can’t compare with the glory of DDLJ.even in this generation people can watch DDLJ but not hahk which seems to be very old.

Sholay was the ultimate movie I have ever seen.
I still watch it with same intensity still as I did in 1976. Never gets old.
Next to it is 3 idiots. Excellent humor , powerful message.
Never cared much about Dil walay…., was definitely entertaining but no new idea,same old love story.
