2016 will be one of those years when all the superstars in the industry will release the biggest and costliest films of their careers. While Salman Khan has Sultan scheduled for theatrical release during his favourite Eid weekend, Aamir Khan will release ‘Dangal’ during his most successful Christmas weekend.
Hrithik Roshan returns after 2 years with the highly-ambitious ‘Mohenjo Daro’ which is said to be bigger than ‘Baahubali’ when it comes to scale and production values. ‘Baahubali’ didn’t have a superstar, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has one!
We also have Ajay Devgn, who will be directing and acting in the super-expensive film ‘Shivaay’ which is scheduled to release in theatres during Diwali.
Akshay Kumar too is set to return in a franchise film ‘Housefull 3’, announced for theatrical release during the ‘Post IPL’ weekend.
There are three mega clashes next year, all between superstars, but the clash that is generating the most interest is the one between ‘Sultan’ and ‘Raees’. Shah Rukh Khan has never lost a big clash and Salman Khan never disappoints during the Eid weekend.
Akshay’s Rustom is set to release against Hrithik’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ and Karan Johar has announced his plans to release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ during Diwali – setting up a clash with Ajay’s Shivaay.
2016 will be a year of clashes, with the mother of all clashes taking place between ‘Raees’ and ‘Sultan’.
Ormax Media, India’s only specialised Media Insights firm, that tracks box office trends, has released their list of Top 5 films of 2016 (as of November). Sultan tops the list, followed by Dangal and Raees. Then there is ‘Housefull 3’ and ‘Fan’. ‘Mohenjo Daro’ and others, don’t find a mention in the Top 5.

Mohanjodaro can be a disaster if the content would be not appealing. Kites is the example of this. Budget is damn High while rustom’s story is penned by master neeraj pandey nd I m very happy tht he is only story writter not the director because he lacks commercial value . Rustom will do grtt at boxoffice. Mohanjodaro can either be a big flop or a big hit depends on content …!

The good thing is all the big superstars are doing something different.Srk will be seen in a negative role,Aamir will do a biopic which is based on wrestling,Hrithik will act in a period film,Akshay will be doing two thrillers which looks off-beat.Ajay is set to direct his most ambitious project
And then there’s Salman who would be back churning out another crap just like he did in 2011-2012.
Has he tried anything different in his career.He always follows paths of other superstars but never tries something new.
2016 is only for akshay with 3 big films airlift housefull3 and Rustom. Waiting for clashes and box office. OMG.

2016 will also be a very good year for commercial cinema! Airlift, Fan, Raees, Sultan, Mohenjodaro, Rustom, Shivaay and Dangal! Every star has at least 1 great film releasing.??
Karan Johar is d most successful director bollywood ever had . His movie ADHM will be high on entertainment nd content . Don’t know much about shivaay. ADHM will lead at boxoffice.
While in reaas nd sultan ,Raees looking like a sureshot winner ,teaser was amazing. The director has a good track record too. Wrestling movies have limited audience,Salman can’t do the justice to the role I feel .
